Materiality analysisA materiality analysis identifies the themes that are relevant to an entity and also determines boundaries for both its activities and reporting.
KBN carried out a materiality analysis in 2016 in order to better understand the expectations of its major stakeholders and how it should prioritise its work on corporate social responsibility. KBN reviewed this materiality analysis in 2017 and considered possible updates and changes. As a consequence of this, some alterations have been made to the areas it prioritises.
The colour-coded topics shown to the right of the dotted line represent the areas on which we will focus in our future work on corporate social responsibility. These topics are allocated to six themes, which also serve as chapter headings in this corporate social responsibility report.
A particularly high priority is attached to the topics of "Green finance" and “Sharing expertise and responsible lending" on the basis of the assumption that these are the areas where KBN is particularly capable of making a difference. The “Ethical conduct” and “Dialogue with stakeholders” topics have now each been given their own chapter.
The topics “green finance”, “diversity and equality”, “ethical conduct, money laundering, anti-corruption and tax avoidance”, “responsible lending” and “sharing expertise and dialogue with stakeholders” were subject to specific objectives for 2017, and the outcome relative to the objectives for these areas is described in this report.
